Hamilton Island is situated in the heart of the Whitsunday passage just of the central Queensland coast and it is the largest resort island in the region and also the most famous. Hamilton Island is the most expedient of the Whitsunday island resorts to get to since it has its own airport plus a regular ferry service that operates from Shute Harbour on the mainland for those who drive, coach or rail into the region.
Qualia Resort on the northern end of the island is the newest and one o the most luxurious resorts in the world. It caters excellent water views and privacy has been of dominant importance. Hamilton Island is like a small town and Golf buggies are used instead of cars. There are also plentiful of great restaurants and cafes on Hammo and several excellent shopping boutiques.
To fit it all in, one needs few extra days because in Hamilton Island, there is so much to do.
